Summer is a time for get-togethers and enjoying yourself, so what better way to celebrate than with some flavorsome drinks and food.
Summer Cocktails

Summer Cocktail Mixing Tips:
- Use cold glassware wherever possible. If you can, keep your glasses in the fridge prior to using them

Brewed Gin & Ger
Summer afternoons are made for drinks with gin and Aperol. When you combine the refreshing zing of Bundaberg Ginger Beer in this classic pitcher drink, you’ll be delighted with the results. Ingredients
- 4 x bottles 12.7oz Bundaberg Ginger Beer
- 9 oz gin
- 2 oz Aperol
- 2 oz lime juice
- 6 x dashes Angostura bitters,
- Orange and lime wedge to garnish
Method
- Put all ingredients including the citrus wedges into the pitcher and stir to combine.
- When you are ready to serve your drinks, top up the pitcher with ice and pour into tall glasses
Summer Bundaberg Mule
Whether you’re a fan of the Moscow variety (using Vodka), or you prefer to take yourself to Mexico (using Tequila), London (using Gin), Ireland (using Whiskey) or Kentucky (using Bourbon), there’s a refreshing Bundaberg Mule for any taste preference.
Consider making the base mix in a pitcher then letting your guests add their liquor of choice to keep things fun for your guests.
Ingredients
- 4 x bottles 12.7oz Bundaberg Ginger Beer
- 7 oz Vodka (or your spirit of choice)
- 3.5 oz lime juice
- 2 x large pieces of ginger
- Lime to garnish
Method
- Muddle ginger and add to pitcher along with lime juice and if you’re adding the spirit, add it now and mix well.
- Top with Bundaberg Ginger Beer and add ice
- Slice some lime wedges and have ready to garnish in copper mugs or short cocktail glasses
- If you’re letting your guests add their own spirits, include a shot measure (jigger) with the display to help them measure the right amount per cocktail

BBQ Root Beer Sauce
This sauce is the bomb. Easy to make and will have your guests begging for more. Don’t let the list of ingredients put you off, it’s a cinch to make.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Bundaberg Root Beer (about 1 ¼ bottles)
- 2 cups tomato ketchup
- 1 brown onion, finely chopped
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp ginger powder
- ½ tsp ground cilantro
- dash of Tabasco sauce to taste
- Sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
Method
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer until reduced by half, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Step 2
Check for seasoning and acidity. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before pouring into airtight jar and storing in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Use as a basting sauce or directly as a dipping sauce.
