The Perfect San Francisco Cocktail
There is nothing better than a great night out in San Francisco. It doesn’t matter if you’re going luxe with the freshest seafood at Leo’s Oyster Bar on Sacramento or keeping it real with the double cheeseburger at Popsons. One thing we stand behind is that a great dinner should be followed by a great cocktail.
We are huge fans of heading out for a drink or two, whether it’s pre-dinner, post-dinner or just because. Although sometimes it’s just as much fun to stay in and keep the party at home.
Mixing up your own cocktails can be serious business, but also a lot of fun. So to help, we’ve lined up a handful of recipes for the best San Francisco cocktail pitchers mixed with our favorite Aussie Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, which are sure to get the party going.
Mexican Heat – Pitcher Size
If you’re a tequila fan, you’re going to absolutely love getting your hands on one of these. Spiced up with the addition of coriander and chilli, this cocktail is a must for spice lovers. If you’re feeling game (or watching the game) you could pair this drink with some spicy wings or pulled pork sliders, they’ll line up beautifully with the herbaceous elements of this drink.
Ingredients
- 8 x bottles (12.7 fl oz. ea.) Bundaberg Blood Orange
- 14 fl oz. Tequila
- 7 fl oz. lemon
- 4 small chillies
- Coriander to garnish
Method
Step 1 – Combine the Tequila, Bundaberg Blood Orange and lemon in a pitcher
Step 2 – Stir, then add ice and garnish with the chili and a pinch of coriander
Step 3 – Serve in your favorite cocktail glass
Step 4 – Enjoy your drink!
Summer Sangria – Pitcher Size
Few things say San Fran in summer to us more than sangria. We love getting out to Cha Cha Cha in the Mission District for their divine pitchers (not to mention their tapas and the Cajun shrimp!) but sometimes you just want to chill at home, which is why we’ve included our recipe for Summer Sangria right here. It’s smooth enough that you can drink it all afternoon (responsibly, of course!).
Ingredients
- 8 x bottles (12.7 fl oz. ea.) Bundaberg Ginger Beer
- 5 fl oz. Cointreau
- 5 fl oz. Peach Liquor
- 5 fl oz. St-Germain
- 8 fl oz. lime juice
- Fruit salad to garnish (tip: orange slices, lemon slices and strawberries work a treat)
Method
Step 1 – Combine Cointreau, Peach Liquor, St-Germain and lime juice in a pitcher
Step 2 – Stir, then add Bundaberg Ginger Beer
Step 3 – Garnish with fruit salad and stir again
Step 4 – Pour into wine glasses
Step 5 – Enjoy your drink!
Jack and Chill – Pitcher Size
Are you a fan of bitter and sweet? If so, we have your perfect flavor match. The Jack and Chill has the classic sweetness of Jack Daniel’s blended with Root Beer and spiced up with a dash of Benedictine. This would be the perfect drink to enjoy as the sun dips down beneath the hills and a small chill starts to hit. With the depth of flavors, it would be remiss of us not to recommend that you enjoy this drink with some sticky glazed ribs!
Ingredients
- 8 x bottles (12.7 fl oz. ea.) Bundaberg Root Beer
- 12 fl oz. Jack Daniel’s Whiskey
- 4 fl oz. Benedictine
- 16 dashes of Orange Bitters
- Sugar for garnish
- Orange peel for garnish
Method
Step 1 – Add Jack Daniel’s, Benedictine and orange bitters to a pitcher and stir
Step 2 – Add Bundaberg Root Beer, ice and stir again
Step 3 – Pour into a glass rimmed with sugar and garnish with a twist of orange peel
Step 4 – Enjoy your drink!
